(Omaha, NE) -- A former security guard at Omaha North High School is found not guilty of sexually assaulting a girl between 12 and 16-years-old. Fifty-three-year-old Ronald Powell was charged with two counts of first-degree sexual assault of a child but last Thursday was acquitted of both crimes. This after a mistrial was declared in his first trial in August 2022. Powell was hired by Omaha Public Schools back in 2014 but fired in August 2016 for violating school policy on interacting with students. The girl that accused Powell of the crimes says they happened in October 2015.
