Grimes Man Charged In West Des Moines Shooting That Injured Teen

(Des Moines, IA) -- West Des Moines Police have made an arrest in an overnight shooting that left a teen in critical condition. Police say the 16-year-old was shot in the chest at a home at 316 58th Court, which is west of I-35 and south of EP True Parkway. He arrives at the hospital in a private vehicle.

Police have charged 20-year old Manirakiza Wilson of Grimes. He's charged with Reckless Use of a Firearm and Possession of a Dangerous Weapon, while under the influence. Wilson has been booked into the Polk County Jail.
