Hearing On Bill To Ban Gender-Affirming Treatment For Minors

(Des Moines, IA) - State lawmakers will hear from Iowans this afternoon on a bill that would prevent minors from receiving gender-transitioning medical treatment.

The bill bans practices such as puberty blockers, hormone therapy, surgeries, and more.

It would also allow people over 18 to sue for up to 20 years if they received this care as minors.
