(Muscatine, IA) -- The Muscatine Fire Department fought two fires in the same night Monday.

Firefighters responded to reports of a fire at Addington Place of Muscatine around 6:30pm and found smoke coming from a resident's room. Investigators believe the fire was an accidental electrical fire.

About 20 minutes after responding to reports of the first fire, firefighters responded to the scene of a reported car fire in the 2100 block of Hershey Avenue. Investigators say the fire was confined to the engine, and the passenger compartment of the vehicle did not catch fire.

No injuries have been reported in either fire.
