(Waukee, IA) -- The planned Waukee Towne Center is another step closer to construction. Earlier this week the Waukee City Council passed the first reading of an ordinance to rezone the area of land near Hickman Road and Southeast Alice's Road for the shopping and entertainment complex. The Waukee Towne Center will include an amphitheater, shopping center, entertainment, trails, and other amenities. Construction is scheduled to begin this fall.
