Stuart Police Officer Shoots And Injures Suspect

(Stuart, IA) -- A suspect is in custody after being shot by police. Stuart Police say a driver refused to pull over for police and started a chase that included Stuart police as well as Adair and Guthrie County Sheriff's Deputies. The suspect eventually ran into a Guthrie County sheriff's car, disabling his own. An Adair Deputy fired his gun after hearing a gunshot from the suspect's car, hitting Charles Bradshaw in both arms. Bradshaw was treated for his minor injuries and booked into the Adair County Jail for felon in possession of a firearm and eluding traffic violations. The Iowa DCI is investigating the shooting.
