LEON, Iowa - A three-year-old boy is dead following a UTV accident over the weekend.
The Iowa State Patrol reports the child was initially a passenger with two minor relatives in the UTV on private property in Leon.
The child got into the driver’s seat when the two relatives got out of the vehicle.The child then drove the UTV into parked fifth-wheel trailer.He was taken to a hospital where he died from his injuries.
The State Patrol says the accident occurred at roughly 8:30 a.m. Saturday.
