Grinnell Schools Returned to Normal After Lockdown

GRINNELL, Iowa - Two schools in Grinnell were under a brief lockdown Tuesday morning while police investigated a report of a suspicious person in the area.

Police were called to an area near Grinnell High School just before 8:45 a.m., which sent the high school and elementary school into a lockdown.

The lockdown ended within an hour after police determined there no criminal activity or threat to public safety.
