Campaigns get more time to challenge Iowa Caucus results

Technical Difficulties Continue To Delay Iowa Caucus Results

DES MOINES, Iowa -- Democratic Presidential campaigns have a little more time to object to the results of the Iowa Caucuses.

"We extended the deadline for campaigns to file a re-canvass or recount. Campaigns have until noon on Monday to file a request" says Iowa Democratic Party Chairman Troy Price.

He says the entire Caucus process will be put under the microscope.

"We will be undergoing an independent forensic review of the challenges that we saw on Monday night--what went right and what went wrong from start to finish, and what we can do better" he says.

Price says the party is still working to finalize caucus results.

The Iowa Democratic Party says with 100 percent of precincts reporting, Pete Buttigieg has a less-than one percent lead over Bernie Sanders. Elizabeth Warren is third, Joe Biden's in fourth, and Amy Klobuchar is fifth.
