Man shot to death in Des Moines Sunday named

DES MOINES, Iowa - 40-year-old Jerry Franklin Goff  is the man who was shot and killed early Sunday morning, after police say a domestic argument escalated. 

911 callers reported gunfire in the area of 38th and Woodward, and found the crime scene in the 600 block of 38th, but no victim. 

Goff was taken to Methodist Hospital in a private vehicle, but died.   

Police say they are working with the Polk County Attorney's office on the investigation. There have been no arrests or charges in the case, yet.   

This is Des Moines' fourth homicide of 2018.
