If you're looking for somewhere relatively new to bike or walk this weekend, the city is reopening the Red Bridge over the Des Moines River downtown.
There's still some minor work remaining, including seeding around the bridge. But, the new stairs and ramps are in place, as well as the new L-E-D lights that'll shine at night.
The Red Bridge has been raised nearly five feet higher than the old structure to prevent potential flood damage.
