(Des Moines, IA) -- Drivers on Ingersoll Avenue can expect to see more road work starting next week.

Phase four of the Ingersoll Streetscape Project begins Monday, March 18, with the goal of increasing safety.

Crews will work to replace the aging roadway pavement on 28th Street to 31st Street, add raised bike lanes, add more storm sewers, and replace underground lead pipes.

Two-way traffic will remain operational during construction.

Road work is expected to wrap up this fall.

A construction schedule for phases 5-6 has yet to be determined.

More information about the project can be found on the city's website.
