DES MOINES, Iowa -- A man is dead after a motorcycle crash in Des Moines Saturday morning.
Police responded to SE 12th and E. MLK Jr. Parkway, just east of downtown, around 5:45 am and found a man on the ground and a motorcycle a few hundred feet away.
Police say 29-year-old Zachary Stone was speeding and driving recklessly, causing him to crash. Stone was wearing a helmet when he lost control of the motorcycle.
The crash is still being investigated.
